Since 2013, thanks to the curatorial efforts of Mél Hogan, the MAL has hosted a successful artist residency series. While we have very little financial support to offer, the residency has still attracted artists and writers from around the world – from Canada, the U.K., Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, and the U.S. Artists/writers are given complete access to the lab and all of its holdings for as long as necessary and we also arrange for performances, talks, exhibits, and – ideally – the publication of a technical report detailing the results of the residency. We welcome you to browse past and present artist projects.
Regretfully, at the moment we are not accepting any applications for residencies for the 2016-2017 school year. Please feel free to get in touch with us if you’d like to know more about availability in 2017-2018.
